2010 CSSA Tournaments

The 2010 CSSA Tournaments will be held as follows:

The Wednesday leagues- Divisions B-1 thru E- tournament will be played at the Schaefer Athletic Complex, 9750 W. Hampden Ave., Lakewood, CO 80227, on August 9th through 11th, with rainout dates of Aug. 12th and/or 13th if needed. 

The 70s league tournament will be played at Community Park, 250 Lamar St, Broomfield, CO 80020, on Monday, August 16th, and Wednesday, August 18th.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND RULES:
1. All divisions will play four games in a round robin format, two games on one day and two games on another day.
2. Team placement and seeding have been assigned by the CSSA Board of Directors and not by the Tournament Director or Commissioner.
3. Rosters, submitted by each team, will be on site during the tournament as provided by the CSSA Board.  Roster change deadline was July 21, 2010.
4. Teams must be ready to play at the scheduled game time or suffer a forfeit.  The first game each day will start at 8:00 AM.  Games are scheduled with 1 hour and 10 minute intervals.
5. The 5 run per inning rule will be in effect.  The last inning will be unlimited runs.  After one hour of play. the umpire will advise both teams that the next full inning will be the last inning in which unlimited runs may be scored.
6. Home team will be decided by the FLIP OF A COIN.  Home team will be responsible for the official score sheet which will be turned in to the umpire at the end of the game.
7. There will be no infield practice after the first inning and the pitcher may take one warm-up pitch each inning.
8. In case of a tie game after the last inning, CSSA Rule 7.6 will be used.  In the first extra inning, offensive team will begin its turn at bat with the player scheduled to bat last in that respective inning being placed at second base.  Any subsequent extra innings will begin with the runner at third base.
9. League and Tournament Champions will receive 15 T-shirts.  Additional shirts may be purchased from CSSA at $8.00 each.
10. Mercy rule after 5 innings is 10 run advantage.  CSSA Rule 5.4 (USSSA approved bats) will apply.
11. Rain-out number is 303-409-2319 (Rich) after 5:30 AM.
